Susan’s Reading
Well, the summer is blowing by quickly. Love the sunny weather. In addition to great hiking, I’ve been doing lots of reading. If you’re wondering why I’ve only added one book to my Susan’s Reading list lately, it’s because I’ve been perusing non-fiction health books (guess who’s been juicing?!).
I’ve also been browsing mags about Reece and Jake’s Paris vacay (so cute!), but that doesn’t really count as reading.
Anyway, I’m looking to pick up a good YA novel after I finish the book I’m currently on. Anyone have an awesome recommendation? What are you all reading right now?

Well, there’s the fourth book in the Twilight series, plus her book Host, which came out a few months ago. I saw that you read A Great and Terrible Beauty, but that you haven’t finished off the series, so that may be a good next move. If you enjoyed The Boyfriend List, E Lockhart has two more out — Dramarama and The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks, both of which are on my TBR pile. If you liked That Summer, Sarah Dessen has a new book out called Lock and Key. I enjoyed that one. Plus, of course, there’s Cruel Summer by Alyson Noel, although I’m sure you already have it in your TBR pile.
Happy reading!

No time to read. I’ve been busy painting the outside of my house. That is quite the project. I don’t read YA, so I can’t be of much help to you. However, I just finished Collapse. Interesting book.
Enjoy the sun while it lasts.

Oh good! The comments are working! I stopped in right after this was posted but I couldn’t post a comment…strange?
I read Stardust which was incredibly good. I also tried out my first Maureen Johnson book (13 Little Blue Envelopes) and I was really impressed! But, any good health books to recommend? I’ve been looking for a few!

I’ve read about 12 books this summer so far. I’m usually reading some sort of freaky, mystery type book. I’ve been very into Dean Koontz, Mary Higgens Clark, Patricia Cornwell plus the odd childrens book……Yeah, I must make time to read to the kiddies!

Caryn . . . Thanks for the great ideas! An hour ago, I finished Sarah Dessen’s THE TRUTH ABOUT FOREVER. Love her writing and can’t wait to read LOCK AND KEY.
Bud . . . Collapse? Sounds intense. Hope it was a good one!
Stephanie . . . Due to the many annoying spam comments I receive, I tried to be clever and develop a way to cut them out from commenting. Turned out I cut EVERYONE out. I got several complaints, which alerted me to the prob (thank goodness). As far as health books . . . I recommend SKINNY BITCH as a starter. It’s a health book in disguise and the authors pretty much admit that at the end of the book. I’m currently reading The Master Cleanse , which is about that lemon drink that’s supposed to get the toxins out of your body. So far, so good.
Ellen . . . I loved reading all four SISTERHOODS. Also, saw the movie yesterday. Was totally cute and makes me want to rent the first one again.
Dana . . . 12 books? You go, girl. I mostly steer clear of the scary books. Not like I have a night light anymore.
