The “Must” Read

My friend, Rachel, emailed me yesterday and said Linger by Maggie Stiefvater had finally hit the shelves.  So, I dropped everything and RUSHED to Target, scanned the shelves, couldn’t find it . . . couldn’t find it . . . then–bam!–there it sat at the end of the aisle under “New Releases”.  Just leaning back on the shelf with its pretty white and green cover (hardback, no less).  Oh, happy moment!

Why the mad frenzy?  Because it’s the sequel to Shiver.    And I looooved Shiver.  Of course, after I finish Linger, I’ll have to wait for the final installment in the trilogy, Forever, to come out.  But, still.

I’m finishing up Lost it by Kristen Tracy and then I’ll get to read Grace and Sam’s new adventure in Linger.  Can’t wait!

Have you ever waited for a book to come out and then rushed down to buy it because it’s a “must” read?  Which book?

I hope you love Linger as much as Shiver! I have waited very excitedly for books to come out and usually I’m not disappointed!

No. I never buy books. I wait for them to come out at the library and then borrow them. Patience is a virtue. No reason to waste perfectly good dollars on something you can get for free I figure.

Must be a good book, so I will put it on my request list at the library and read it sometime next year.

Just about all the books I read come from the library. I always have a bunch “on hold”. The ones that I cannot resist buying though are the “No. 1 Ladies Detective”
series by Alexander McCall Smith. They take place in Botswana and are utterly charming and delightful. When I see a new one, I have to have it!
